As a PhD student, I investigate the crosstalk between feto-placental macrophages (Hofbauer cells) and the endothelium.
My area of interest is TGF-β signaling which controls a diverse set of cellular processes and co-ordinates events critical to the progression and resolution of inflammatory responses. I am particularly interested in the role of TGF-β signaling under pro-inflammatory conditions such as in preeclampsia and its subsequent cellular responses.
