My research interest is the feto-placental endothelium and how maternal metabolic derangements alter feto-placental endothelial function.

This includes immediate effects of such disturbances during pregnancy, but beyond, I am fascinated how the altered intra uterine environment affects cell behaviour in long term and which consequences may arise for the offspring later in life.
